Nine Photos

I met Joanne Withers at a networking event held by LCB Depot in Leicester and we connected instantly. Joanne had a website in place but it was not doing a great job of selling her work and required an overhaul. I offered suggestions of how this could be achieved and together we came up with a minimalist design that allowed her fabulous photography to dominate the layout.
The site features a blog and is content is controlled by Joanne using a browser based content management system. The rolling galleries are achieved using a combination of jQuery, PHP and MySQL.

Tailgaters Sportswear & Essentials

Tailgaters is a sportswear store based in the sunny area of the Outer Banks in North Carolina, USA. They had an existing website that was not performing well for them and approached me to supply a solution that would bring their online sales to the fore. To facilitate this I created a new design and bespoke ecommerce system that gives the user a complete secure shopping experience and information about the business within a website that is intuitive and conforms to accessibility guidelines.
The store also boasts a content management system enabling the client to control products, images, payment methods, shipping details and much more besides.
The site is predominantly PHP based using a MySQL database. Hosting was provided along with a Secure Socket Layer and Dedicated IP Address to ensure customer details are handled responsibly.

Coalville Self Storage

Coalville Self Storage approached me to create a single page online presence that explained to the user exactly what the company provides, methods of contact and location in the simplest most accessible way.
From a design perspective the project was completely open as no company identity or photographic library had yet been created, which gave the freedom to experiment with different visual layouts without boundaries. A strong colour scheme of black, white, yellow and blue was chosen with graphical representation for each of the company’s services for immediate communication to potential customers.
The site was written using XHTML (the Doctype 1.0 Transitional was required as an iFrame was used for the Google Map), CSS and PHP. Hosting and domain name registration was also provided.
